Housing
Three types of housing are available at the Toot: “motel” type, “cabin”, and “dormitory”. While single rooms are available, everyone is encouraged to share rooms. If you don’t have a roommate but would be willing to share, indicate double occupancy on your registration form, and a compatible roommate will be assigned.
Motel housing is in the Family Life Center or FLC (four-unit separate buildings) and the Pasadena Blvd Guest Quarters or PB. The FLC and PB facilities have private baths (mostly), and are furnished with linens, towels, and soap – bring all other toiletries you will need. Handicapped-accessible rooms are available. Most of these facilities provide two double beds per room, with some rooms also providing a rollaway bed.
Cabin-style housing is at Fair Village, located on the opposite side of the small lake on the property. Each Fair Village cabin has a kitchen, living room, and 2 bedrooms with two beds each (no rollaway beds). Linens, towels, and soap are provided. “Single” in this case means you get an entire cabin to yourself. Fair Village is not handicapped-accessible, as there is rustic parking, no sidewalks, and stairs to get into the cabins.
The dorm facilities at Camp Hearn (across the street from McCarty Auditorium) are for those seeking the more spartan experience or who are on a tighter budget. In this facility, each room has many beds, and there is a shower and toilet facility in each building. “Single” in this case means you get an entire room and all its beds.
Those who stay in Camp Hearn will have the comforts of home — your own home, that is. You need to bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels with you to Lakeview, because no linens are provided in these rooms! All you get is a mattress; many mattresses, in fact. Needless to say, you also need to bring your own soap, shampoo, drinking glass, etc. These rooms are not lockable.
Camping accommodations are available in the RV trailer park, with full hookups.
