Most Toot participants will be housed in the Pecan Grove (PG) 2-bedroom student apartments (location 27 on the campus map), which will be newly refurbished. Here is a diagram of the apartment layout: each apartment has two bedrooms, each with a single bed and its own private bath. There is a shared common area and full kitchen (no dishes or kitchenware are provided). (If you are a couple who is willing to share a bathroom, please contact info@toot.org to ask about an alternate housing option.)

You will probably be happy if you bring a lamp for additional lighting in the bedroom. The overhead light does not provide much help for practicing, or for reading in bed.

Schreiner does not provide linens in the apartments. Texas Toot has purchased a limited number of linen sets (sheets, towels, blanket, pillow) that will be available for rent ($25 for the week), but participants who are able are encouraged to bring your own linens. The beds are extra-long twin (XL twin). If you prefer not to stay in the apartments, there are numerous hotels in the surrounding area. Make a reservation early, because the Kerrville Folk Festival will be happening at the same time as the Toot.

Schreiner's dining facility offers a variety of fresh and prepared foods, including a great salad bar, as well as accommodating vegetarian diets and other special dietary requirements. Just let us know!

The full meal plan is very reasonably priced. Guests may purchase individual meals at the dining hall. Eating together is a great way to take advantage of the fellowship, conversation, and convenience of the on-campus facilities — all valuable aspects of the workshop experience.

Fees

The fees shown below are now final.

Tuition	$440 per person "Do-It-Now" tuition (if registration/deposit received by April 20) OR $495 per person if registration and deposit are received after April 20 $10 discount for ARS, VdGSA, EMA, and ARTA members Everyone's favorite Bring-a-Friend tuition discount: Invite someone new to come to the Summer Toot! Once he/she registers, you are entitled to a 20% discount on tuition (10% if this person has attended a Toot before, but has been absent for 5 or more years.)
Housing and Meals	The apartment accommodations at Schreiner are not the dorm rooms we have been used to (see the layout of the 2-bedroom apartment), so our offerings are slightly different from the traditional "shared room or single room": Apartment, private bed & bath, shared common area and kitchen: $380 Apartment, entire thing to yourself (but only one bed available): $590 Full meals (dinner Sunday — lunch Saturday): $230 Commuter meals (lunches and dinners only, no breakfast): $170 Administrative fee (all students): $40
Key Deposit (new this year)	Schreiner charges a "lost key" fee of $75. We will collect a $75 deposit (CASH OR CHECK ONLY, no credit cards) for each key issued, with the full expectation of returning it to you when the key is returned. To repeat: we will hold all deposit checks (not cashing them) and cash until the end of the Toot on Saturday, when we will return the funds to you in exchange for your key. If you have to leave early, of course we can accommodate that.

Transportation

The San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is approximately 90 minutes by car from the Schreiner University campus. Shuttle service from/to the airport can be found, but is costly enough that you probably should arrange to share with other participants to split the fare.

There will be a few rooms available for those who need to arrive a day early, or to stay an extra night (around $40 per person for room only). Try to book return flights for late Saturday afternoon.

You may register online, but we must receive your deposit check for $100 by postal mail to complete your registration. Deposit is refundable until May 5, 2022.
