Prices and Other Details
for the 11th Summer Texas Toot - 2009

June 14 – 20, 2009

Housing

Toot participants will be housed in Concordia's brand-new Residence Hall dorm (location H on the campus map...) The accommodations are 2-person suites with private bath, and all linens are provided.

Here is some information about the residence hall layout, furnishings, and amenities (look about halfway down the page). If you prefer not to stay in a dorm, there are numerous hotels in the surrounding area.

Meals

Concordia's dining facility on their new campus is run by Sodexo, a world-class integrated food service and facilities management company. The variety and quality of the food offered is a real step up from the dining hall on the old campus (as Danny Johnson and Susan Richter have sampled, and can attest). Vegetarian diets are well accommodated by the food service.

A "commuter" meal plan is offered (lunches and dinners only), in order to encourage commuters to take advantage of the fellowship, conversation, and convenience of the on-campus facilities — all valuable aspects of the workshop experience.

Fees

Although we have made every effort to keep prices from rising, it is simply the truth that costs for housing and meals have gone up from 2 years ago. We appreciate the consideration that Concordia University has given to the Texas Toot as a longtime summer presence on their campus. We hope that all past and prospective Toot attendees will compare the costs here to those of other workshops hosted on college campuses, and think you will see that they are really quite reasonable.
